Database

The Foundation's digital database and archives can be browsed and accessed through regional and country-specific raster maps, which will soon be supplemented by geographically and historically precise interactive vector maps.

With some exceptions, the initial database covers some 50 countries that have suffered from Communist regimes, where crimes against humanity, war crimes, crimes against peace, and grave human rights violations have been committed or where Communist crimes can be suspected.

The current database is being regularly updated, edited, tested and improved. The list of countries and the map is far from complete. The final design, structure, basic content and conception will be ready in 2008.
